Tata Harrier EV: Tata Motors is currently the third largest car manufacturer in the Indian market. And along with this, it is also India’s largest electric production car manufacturer. Tata Motors has more than 70% stake in the electric segment. Tata Nection Electric has the highest sales in the electric segment of Tata Motors.

And now Tata Motors is going to offer many great vehicles to maintain its position. Big SUVs like Tata Harrier Electric and Tata Safari Electric are going to be included in this list.

Tata Harrier Electric has been unveiled first in the Indian market at Auto Export 2023. Its overall body design is going to be very similar to the diesel Tata Harrier till date, however, it is going to get a newly designed front profile to differentiate it from its ICE version. At the front, a new LED headlight setup with a new connected LED DRL unit and a new grille and bumper with fog light setup are going to be available. The front features a finely textured silver speed plate with a new silver finish at the bottom.

The rear side will also get a revised bumper and stop lamp mount with a new connected LED tail light unit. The new side profile will be driven by sleek dual tone aerodynamic alloy wheels which will further enhance its road presence.

Not only external changes, we are also going to see a lot of similarities in its cabin. However, in electric, it is going to be introduced with gear knob instead of gear lever and new leather seat. Apart from this, no other major changes can be made.

Among the features, it is going to get 10.25 inch digital driver display with 12.3 inch touch screen infotainment system and Apple CarPlay connectivity with wireless Android Auto. Other highlights include wireless mobile charging, dual zone climate control, panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting with multiple color options, ventilated front seats with height adjustable driver seat, advanced connected car technology, air purifier, JBL sound system and rear. On the side, a power tail gate is provided with gesture control.

Tata Harrier EV Safety features

In terms of safety features, it is going to be powered with ADAS technology, which is also available in the current model. This includes front and rear collision avoidance, blind spot monitoring system, automatic emergency braking, time-out warning, lane return, adaptive cruise control, rear cross traffic alert and traffic jam assist. Apart from this, the company can also add some more special safety features for the electric version.

Tata Harrier Electric is going to get a range of approximately 500 kilometers on a single charge. Currently, the Tata Nexion Electric also gets a range of 465 km on a single charge, in its Long Battery Edition variant. Tata Harrier Electric is going to be built based on a completely electric platform, due to which it is going to support small battery pack along with big battery pack.

However, till now the company has not given any official information about the battery and range. Just seen, very soon more information about this will be revealed.

Tata Harrier EV Launch Date in India

According to some media reports, Tata Harrier Electric will be launched in the Indian market by the end of 2024. But the company has not yet confirmed anything about it.

After its launch, it is not going to compete with any electric SUV in the Indian market. There is currently no electric SUV available in this segment. Apart from Tata Harrier Electric, Tata Motors is also going to offer many other great electric vehicles in the new year.
