“Breaking: Delhi Govt’s Surprise U-Turn on School Winter Break Extension! Here’s What Happened Next…”

The Delhi government initially extended the winter break in schools until January 10 within the capital but swiftly revoked the decision, citing an error in the order. The Directorate of Education clarified that further deliberations would determine the course of action regarding the extended vacation.

Aiming to address the extreme cold waves and an IMD yellow alert, the earlier order was issued but promptly withdrawn, signaling a need for reconsideration and subsequent directives concerning the winter vacation.

Delhi continued to experience grey, foggy weather with temperatures peaking at 15.2 degrees Celsius during the day and dropping to 8.9 degrees in the early hours. However, the IMD forecasted a rise in temperatures over the next two days, attributing it to an approaching western disturbance expected to bring light rain by Tuesday. Officials anticipated an improvement in cold conditions by Sunday.

In neighboring areas, the Gautam Buddh Nagar administration took proactive measures due to prevailing dense fog and harsh cold. All schools in Noida and Greater Noida up to Class 8 were directed to remain closed until January 14. This decision was applicable to schools affiliated with various boards, emphasizing compliance for safety reasons.

The District Magistrate’s directive led to this decision, considering the dense fog and extreme cold. Basic Education Officer Rahul Panwar stressed strict adherence to the holiday period for the well-being of students.

Temperatures in western Uttar Pradesh, including Gautam Buddh Nagar, dipped to single digits, with Saturday’s minimum recorded at 9 degrees Celsius. The IMD’s cold wave and fog warning prompted cautionary steps by local authorities.

In the upcoming days, temperatures in Gautam Buddh Nagar are expected to fluctuate between 9 and 13 degrees Celsius. The administration remains vigilant, aligning with the IMD’s advisory to ensure safety amidst the challenging weather conditions.

In summary, the Delhi government reversed its decision to extend the winter break, highlighting the need for further consideration. Meanwhile, neighboring areas implemented precautionary measures to safeguard students from the prevailing dense fog and extreme cold, temporarily closing schools in line with official directives.
